Challenge/Opportunity

The organisation described the team challenge as:

  • Understanding their ‘why’ and ‘what’ only they can do uniquely together as a Team

  • Focus on ‘how’ they work as a Team and actively hold each other accountable

  • Increased awareness of their individual leadership impact on team outcomes and skills needed

  • Increased self-awareness and actively working on individual constructive behaviours to support the team

Solution

The solution consisted of 3 phases:

  • Team survey (based on Hawkins’ 5Cs model)

  • Individual team member interviews

  • 4 team coaching sessions

  • 3 team check-ins for continuous reflection

  • Final team debrief/review

Result/Outcome

  • The foundations built allowed the team to adjust to a global restructure that changed their reporting lines

  • The program ignited them to connect better to their own teams and tap into their teams’ capability

"What we appreciated most about the IECL's experience was that it didn’t feel like an ‘off-the-shelf’ product. IECL took the time to understand each individual in our Executive Team, understand our group dynamics within the team, and factor in our business landscape to create a holistic customized team development program that placed us in the driver’s seat creating our own positive change. This was a facilitated journey of self-discovery, true team building, and applied learning which has resulted in growth for us as individuals, as a team, and as a business.” President - Pacific
