John’s coaching experience includes working with individuals at varying career stages seeking behavioural change, performance enhancement, skill development, career advancement and leadership capability enhancement. With an ability to communicate issues in a simple manner, John frequently presents to industry groups, elected officials and senior client management groups.
COACHING STYLE AND APPROACH
John’s approach to coaching focuses initially on creating a collaborative conversational space emphasizing the importance of developing trust and a non-judgmental exchange between coach and counterpart. Establishing this platform is an important step to enable discovery, learning, performance possibilities and growth.
While John’s coaching is influenced by an outcomes approach, each engagement is different and as such, additional approaches and styles that best suit the counterpart are considered.
BUSINESS EXPERIENCE
John’s professional career spans approximately 40 years. With an early background in accounting, he is experienced in the areas of financial sustainability, debt structuring and interest rate risk management. John also has extensive experience in developing teams and managing client relationships.
As chief executive of an infrastructure services company, John has experience working at board and operational level, developing, and implementing strategies designed to grow client loyalty and business sustainability.
John has added to his deep interest in leadership theory and practice by completing a Masters in Business Leadership.
