IECL coach training leads to coaching credentials with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) in as little as one year. There are three levels: ACC, PCC and MCC. For each level you need a certain number of coach specific training hours, mentor coaching hours and logged coaching hours to apply. While recognising the difference between coaching and mentoring, IECL provides you with the training and mentoring you need as a new coach and supports you to build your coaching hours through IECL Membership. We are uniquely positioned to support you to gain your ICF credentials with confidence.

IECL coaching programs in Singapore - Who are they for?
Join our accredited coach training program, open to people with some experience in the corporate arena (public or private) or a background in the fields of management, human resources, facilitation, consulting, psychology, counseling, training, education or leadership, and ideally with a degree or some equivalent work-life experience. There are no specific prerequisites for the program, but we do expect that you will be both reasonably mature and have some experience in how organisations operate. Additionally, each level of training requires the previous level to be completed first. Coaching Essentials 1 and 2 are prerequisites for our Principles of Organisational Coaching (POC) and Team Coaching.
Currently IECL coach education is conducted in Cantonese (some Hong Kong courses), Mandarin (some China courses) and English (all other courses). Language of instruction is clearly indicated in each course listing.
What do IECL coaching programs cover?
Coach Training
The accreditation program includes three consecutive levels of organisational coach training, with each level being taught in a blended learning environment: including online learning with a three day experiential workshop. To get your coaching certification in Singapore you will receive a rigorous and practical training in organisational coaching and you can graduate after Coaching Essentials Level 1 or 2 with an IECL Certification in Organisational Coaching Essentials at that level. After Level 3, you will receive IECL Accreditation in Organisational Coaching (the full ACTP program) and recognised by the ICF in Singapore, for credentialing purposes. You can also apply for credentials via the ACSTH method using our ACC Fast Track program. IECL is one of the best places in APAC to get an executive certificate in leadership coaching.
Individual Organisational Coaching
Working with an IECL coach one-on-one is a wise investment with a proven track record of producing results. High performing organisations engage IECL coaches to accelerate the development of their best and brightest through a series of coaching conversations typically over a 6 month period. The engagement also involves a manager or sponsor at multiple intervals to ensure expectations are aligned and measures of success agreed.
Executive Coaching in Singapore
When it comes to executive coaching in Singapore, we provide an inimitable opportunity to truly think differently. IECL’s approach to coaching at the C-Suite level is to support and challenge an executive’s understanding of their role, to resolve complex challenges, achieve significant outcomes and have real impact across the entire organisational system.
Team Coaching
IECL works with top teams enabling them to truly function as a team, working collectively to be greater together than the sum of its individual members. Team coaching increases the teams’ capability to think differently and take decisive action. Team dynamics improve which in turn results in a team who can learn, adapt and grow as required for maximum performance.
How does the IECL program compare to others available?
IECL’s program stands alone as an organisational coach-training program conducted by practicing organisational coaches who are also excellent facilitators of adult learning. Additionally, our program is very practical, with 65% coaching practice in Coaching Essentials Level 1. You will learn how to coach through the experience of coaching and being coached, guided by experienced and qualified coaches. This is not purely theoretical training. Finally, IECL offers comprehensive support to all our alumni in the form of the Community of Practice such as ongoing professional development forums, co-coaching circles participation, CPD activities and access to IECL’s subject matter experts and library of resources. Those that join our membership program are further supported as they develop their skills and progress to a coaching certification in Singapore.
Is IECL’s coach training program internationally recognised?
IECL’s coach training program is accredited by the International Coach Federation and is, therefore, internationally recognised. IECL also has a very strong reputation for corporate coaching and coach training with our multinational client companies.
How do I get accredited by the ICF through IECL?
The ICF accredits programs (like ours) and credentials coaches (like you!) The best way to understand more about the ICF’s credentialing process is via their website. The easiest way to attain an ICF credential is via the ACTP pathway but that means completing Level 3 with us first. You can apply to ICF Singapore after IECL Level 2 via the ACSTH pathway but you will need to jump through extra hoops (including six mentor coaching sessions which we can help you with via our ACC Fast Track program.
