Challenge/Opportunity

The Covid-19 pandemic posed huge changes to roles, working environment and operating rhythms.

Many senior leaders and their teams needed to operate under increased pressure for a sustained period.

Solution

A Focus Coaching program was designed to provide intensive and rapid support to leaders to enable them to thrive through times of unprecedented change in the early days of the pandemic. IECL’s solution consisted of a targeted series of three coaching sessions with follow up emails, enabling leaders to think differently and remain supported.

These structured conversations assisted leaders to reframe, review and respond to better focus their time and attention.

SESSION 2: Response - How are you behaving, thinking and being as a leader?

SESSION 3: Purpose - Who or what is your leadership in service of?

Result/Outcome

  • 50 Senior Leaders participated

  • 91 Net Promoter Score (world class)

  • 4.82 out of 5 - average coaching experience score

  • 21.5% - uplift in wellbeing scores 

We asked the coaches “From your observation, how have the leaders benefited from the coaching?”. Responses:

  • More clarity on personal values, own leadership brand and deeper self-awareness

  • Improved results in meetings

  • Space to think strategically and explore different possibilities

  • More team-building focus in online meetings leading to improved relationships as people got to know each other’s strengths

  • Having the time to reflect and centre themselves
